Design Terminal is an excellent catalyst between the world of startups and big corporations.

´Design Terminal is the essential partner to boost innovation.´
Balázs had great ideas on how to make the Chamber the facilitator of innovation, therefore, the National Chamber of Agriculture and Design Terminal teamed up and after a series of discussions, we came up with the idea of creating a hackathon – a 24-hour sprint where startup teams get together to develop creative solutions for a specific challenge – and to use this as a platform to launch new initiatives across the agricultural industry in Hungary. The program kicked off in March 2019, when during the Agrotech Hackathon in just 24 hours 13 innovative concepts were developed by the teams supported by agroindustry experts and business mentors.
The success of the event reinforced the assumption that there is a demand in agroindustry for innovation and through this process something amazing happened: the teams developed some great new ideas. More importantly, Balázs realized that he had dozens of people around him who were just as excited and committed to building innovation into the agricultural ecosystem as he was.
Balázs is a former professional waterpolo player and he has an athlete’s persistence driving him to achieve even more after the initial success. Eventually the National Chamber of Agriculture and Design Terminal launched a unique program in the fall of 2019 aimed at establishing the NAK Tech Lab incubation program that will direct the attention of enterprising young people towards the agricultural sector.
Design Terminal is the essential and committed partner of the National Chamber of Agriculture to build up an agricultural innovation program that boosts the sector in the Carpathian Basin.
